Irena Sever Globan is an Associate Professor at the Croatian Catholic University. She started working at the Croatian Catholic University as a senior assistant in 2012 and teaches courses such as Film Studies, Styles of Media Culture, History and Theory of Film, New Media Genres, Television Drama, Transcendental Experience in Film and Sociology of Media. She has also taught courses such as Television Production and Visual Communication at the universities of Dubrovnik, Osijek and at the Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb. She is the author of several scientific papers dealing with female Christian characters, women on public television, contemporary television heroines, etc. She is the Vice president of Croation section of European Society of Woman in Theological Research (ESWTR)and also a member of the Society for Communication and Media Culture (DKMK).She has been a member of the international jury of the World Catholic Association for Communication (SIGNIS) at the Religion Today Film Festival in Trento, Italy, in 2014.
